SAINT ADALGISO (? - 854) bishop of Novara from the 830 (or 831) to the 849 (or 850) second some, from the 834 to the 852-3 () second others. Adalgiso is considered constantly by the origin tradition longobarda, perhaps of the same family of the last king Desiderius, indeed, quite grandson of he. When it died, its empty ones were capacities at first in the church of S. Gaudenzio outside wall to them, then traslate in city in 1533, after the destruction of that church and of the external houses to work of Carl V. From 1927 they rest, with the venerated reliquie of other novaresi bishops, in S. Gaudenzio, within an artistic urn, under the altar dedicated to its name. Its festivity second the Acta Sanctorum reruns 7 October, while today the novarese church celebrates the 5 to it of the same month. Cromolitografica Immaginetta approximately 1900
