Servant of God, missionary and explorer, he lived for about thirty-five years in Ethiopia, where he combined intense apostolic activity with the study of the local language and customs. Author of ''My thirty-five years of mission in Upper Ethiopia'', a work that is still fundamental today for knowledge of that country. He belonged to the Capuchin Order.
