Born in Limone sul Garda (BS) son of poor farmers, he became the first Catholic Bishop of Central Africa and one of the greatest missionaries in the history of the Church. He died in Khartoum, Sudan. Beatified on March 17, 1996 and canonized on October 5, 2003 by Pope John Paul II in St. Peter's. Portrayed in a graphic elaboration that evokes Africa, Italy 21st century.
