SAINT PETER JULIAN EYMARD (February 4, 1811 - August 1, 1868), French religious leader and founder of the Priests of the Blessed Sacrament (or Congregation of the Sacramentine Fathers) and of the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament. He was canonized on December 9, 1962. Above the right altar of Saints Andrew and Claude of the Burgundians in Rome, a statue depicting him contains a relic of part of his head.
