caption: COGOLETO (Genoa) There was a very old castle, demolished in 1809, during the construction of the great coastal road. Azure shield, at the castle of ancient construction on a meadow at the tip, on the castle rests a Dove carrying a scroll in its beak; in the lower part is marked the sea, at the head a red cross on a silver field. On the coat of arms surrounded by two laurel branches, a turreted crown. At the bottom are marked the colours of the National Flag and on these the name of the Municipality. Chromolithograph, Edition A. Brioschi & C., Milan 1935 circa.
