caption: ALBIATE (Milan) Situated in the upper Milanese plain, in the 9th century its territory belonged to the archbishop Ansperto da Biassono and was subsequently a fief of the Confalonieri. Truncated shield, the first palate of seven pieces of red and silver charged with the Mellerio melon, the second gheronate of silver and red (Airoldi) charged with the Visconti tower. This coat of arms, composed by the Vallardi heraldic archive, was soon replaced by the current one. Wall crown, branches of laurel and oak in decussate. Chromolithograph, Edition A.
