VITTORIO AMEDEO I (March 1, 1690 – April 4, 1741), third Prince of Carignano. A nobleman of the Savoy-Carignano branch, due to family disagreements, he moved with his wife Maria Vittoria Francesca of Savoy to Paris in 1718, where they lived through ups and downs due to his penchant for gambling. He was the great-great-grandfather of Charles Albert. Portrayed in a 19th-century print.
