caption: Magnus Hirschfeld (Kolberg, 1868 - Nice, 1935) sessuologo doctor and German writer of Jewish origins, has been one of the founders of the movement of homosexual liberation. It processed the theory of the third gender and coined the term transvestism. It founded to Berlin for research purposes Sexual Institute that contained an immense library and supplied to educational services and consults doctors. When the nazis assumed the power in Germany, one of the first actions that they carried out, 6 May 1933 was to destroy the Institute and to give fire to the library that contained. Hirschfeld, engaged in a series of newsgroups abroad, did not return never more in Germany and died in 1935 in exile to Nice.
