The leggendaria event of the Seven dormienti of Efeso is narrated in the Gold Legenda of Jacobus de Voragine, from Gregory of Tours, Paul Deacon in its'Historia Langobardorum'e in the Corano in the “Sura of the Cavern”. It tells that, to the time dell’ emperor Decius, seven siblings refused to abjure the Christian faith. They were tried and, waiting for judgment, they took refuge in a cavern on the Celion mount to pray the Gentleman who removed them to the danger that threatened them. Sdraiarono to the ground and were fallen asleep in order to wake up itself more than three hundred years after, to stopped danger, receiving the homages quite dell’ emperor Teodosio before always riaddormentare itself in order.
