MILETO (Catanzaro) built in 1784 not far from the ruins of Mileto Vecchio, devastated by an earthquake in 1793. The old town was very ancient and reached considerable importance in the 11th century at the time of Roger the Norman. Azure shield, on the sides two flowing rivers converging at the tip, which enclose a cheeky "M" surmounted by a crown with a small cross. Chromolithograph, Edition A. Brioschi & C., Milan circa 1935.
