GERMANY Allegoria of the Germanic Empire, (united Germany and Prussia), II Reich 1871. The Victoria of Sadowa, 3 July 1866, brought back from the Prussiani on the Austrians, consecrates the formation of the Confederation of the Germany of the North. In 1871 with the treaty of Frankfurt, the Confederation absorbs the Alsace and the Lorena, as a result of the Victoria on France, giving so life to the Germanic Empire. The frontiers of the Empire will remain unchanged from 1897 to 1917.
