Saint ANDREW BOBOLA, martyr (November 30, 1591 – May 16, 1657) Ordained a priest in 1622, superior preacher of the Jesuit house in Bobrvisk (Poland), and an ardent missionary among the schismatics. He died a martyr of the Cossacks in 1657. Feast day: May 21. A little angel holds a tray with the eyes and ears that were torn out during his martyrdom. Portrayed in a print from the first half of the 19th century.
