caption: AUTOMOBILES ''Fiat Balilla'' advertising poster by Plinio Codognato (13 April 1878 – 30 September 1940) for the Fiat utility car produced during the golden years of the fascist regime. With the car in the background, a child in the foreground wearing a black Balilla uniform and fez is about to throw a stone, reproducing the gesture of the eighteenth-century Genoese patriot Giovan Battista Perasso (1735 - 1781) whose nickname inspired both the utility car and the fascist youth organization to which he belonged.
