caption: FASCISM The Milanese headquarters in via Paolo da Cannobio of the editorial staff of the ''Popolo d'Italia'', a newspaper founded by Benito Mussolini in 1914 as an expression of the interventionist area of the Italian Socialist Party, and which then followed the change in the political line of its director, until he became the promoter of the foundation of the Italian Fasci di Combattimento and unofficial organ of the nascent Fascist Party in the post-war period. On Mussolini's desk, next to the telephone, hand grenades and a pistol are ready for use, on the wall hangs a flag with a skull with a knife between its teeth, a symbol borrowed from the military units of the Arditi.
