Ettore MUTI (22 May 1902 - 24 August 1943) Volunteer in the Great War, at 15 he is among the bold of the Piave and then among the legionaries of Fiume. In 1939 Mussolini calls him to the National Secretariat of the PNF to replace Achille Starace. Nominally he remains secretary of the PNF until October 1940 but since June 1 he returns to the Air Force to take an active part in the war. Even after July 25, 1943 and the arrest of Mussolini, Muti continues to openly express his cult of the Duce. Arrested in Fregene on the night of 24 August, he was killed while the carabinieri were taking him to jail. It will bear its name, during the 600 days of Salò, one of the most notorious teams of the Republic of Salò.
