caption: VENICE the translation of the body of St. Mark, the lunette of the portal of the Cathedral Venetian secondary Sant'Alipio, is the only survivor of the original thirteenth-century mosaic, dated about 1265. The Basilica is shown as it appeared in the middle of the thirteenth century, before the work of transformation and elevation of the domes. Above the central lunette with Christ the Judge will recognize the horses of the chariot, brought to Venice with the spoils of the sack of Constantinople by the Fourth Crusade in 1204.
