caption: CIMITERO Funeral monument for Giuseppe Mazzini (22 June 1805 -10 March 1872), of neoclassical taste, placed in the Irregular Grove where it appears as carved into the rock; designed by Gaetano Vittorio Grasso (1849 - 1899?) in 1874 and concluded in 1877, the doric temple welcomes in the pronaos and crypt numerous tombstones and crowns dedicated to the Italian patriot by groups and associations, or personalities such as the British premier Lloyd George, Carducci , Guerrazzi, D'Annunzio, Tolstoy. In the space in front, the brazier and the tomb of Maria Drago Mazzini (31 January 1774 - 8 August 1852), mother of the Risorgimento patriot who always supported both morally and materially, keeping with him a close correspondence during the long exile and making available the own home as a refuge for political persecuted.
